Stock Picker

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Picker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in efficiently selecting, packing, and restocking products while ensuring accuracy and quality. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and meet tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

• Product Selection: Locate and pick items from shelves using a packing slip to fulfil customer orders accurately.
• Order Fulfilment: Ensure that the correct products and quantities are packed into orders, minimising errors.
• Stock Replenishment: Refill shelves with products to ensure they are always fully stocked and organised.
• Stock Monitoring: Monitor stock levels on shelves and notify the Operations Manager of any low stock or inventory discrepancies.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect products for any damages or defects before packing to ensure high-quality items are sent out.
• Separation of Stock: Organise and separate stock for different retail stores as required.
• Stock Counting: Assist with periodic stock counts and update Goods Received Notes (GRN) for incoming deliveries.

Required Skills:

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift boxes, bend, and reach to perform the required tasks.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in selecting the correct items and quantities for orders.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Time Management: Strong time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and orders are packed on time.
• Self-Motivated: Ability to think independently, take initiative, and work without constant supervision.

Requirements:

• Education: Minimum Matric (Grade 12) pass.
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Location: Must be based in Johannesburg.
• Industry Knowledge (advantageous): Previous experience or knowledge of skincare products is a plus.
