Stock Reporting Administrator Retail
Position: Stock Reporting Administrator – Retail Industry
Department: Risk / Audit

Purpose of the Role
The Stock Reporting Administrator will provide accurate and timely administrative and reporting support to the Risk and Audit function. The role is responsible for collecting, verifying and consolidating stock information from retail stores, identifying discrepancies and ensuring that stock reporting and audit processes are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Collect weekly stock-related data and supporting documentation from all retail stores.
Verify the accuracy, completeness and consistency of store submissions.
Compile, format and distribute weekly stock audit and reporting information.
Follow up with stores regarding outstanding, incomplete or inaccurate information.
Identify stock variances, irregularities and trends requiring further investigation.
Capture physical stocktake information and assist with stock reconciliations.
Assist the audit team with routine and ad-hoc stock audits.
Maintain accurate, organised and secure electronic and hard-copy records.
Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management review.
Provide administrative support to the Finance, Risk and Audit teams.
Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
Assist with any additional stock, reporting or administrative requirements as required.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
Previous experience in a retail, stock, inventory, audit or store environment.
Strong administrative and reporting experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – Essential.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- o VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- o Pivot Tables
- o Excel formulas
- o Data reconciliation and analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good numerical and analytical ability.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Advantageous
Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Retail Management or a related field.
Experience with stocktakes and stock reconciliations.
Experience working with multiple retail stores.
Previous exposure to internal or stock auditing.
