About the Role

Crazy Plastics is looking for an experienced, motivated and results-driven Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Pietermaritzburg store.

The successful candidate will lead the store team, drive sales and customer service, manage stock and cash operations, and ensure that company standards and procedures are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the store.

- Lead, motivate and manage the store team.

- Drive sales and ensure store targets are achieved.

- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer queries and complaints.

- Manage stock receiving, stock levels, stock counts and stock movements.

- Ensure effective merchandising and attractive product displays.

- Monitor pricing, promotions and store standards.

- Oversee cash handling, till procedures, cash-ups and banking.

- Monitor shrinkage and implement loss-prevention procedures.

- Manage staff attendance, performance, conduct and development.

- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of staff.

- Ensure the store is adequately staffed according to operational requirements.

- Ensure housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintained.

- Manage opening and closing procedures.

- Prepare and communicate relevant operational reports.

- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions.

- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

- Work closely with management to achieve business and operational objectives.

Requirements

- Grade 12 / Matric.

- Previous retail management experience is essential.

- Proven experience managing a retail store and team.

- Experience with sales, stock and cash management.

- Strong leadership and people-management skills.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Good numerical and administrative ability.

- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

- Computer literate.

- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

- Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
