About the Role
Crazy Plastics is looking for an experienced, energetic, and results-driven Store Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our store.
The successful candidate will lead the store team, drive customer service and sales, maintain stock and merchandising standards, and ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the store.
- Lead, motivate and manage the store team.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer queries or complaints professionally.
- Monitor and drive store sales and performance.
- Ensure targets and key performance objectives are achieved.
- Manage stock levels, stock movements, receiving and stock counts.
- Maintain high merchandising and housekeeping standards.
- Monitor pricing, promotions and product displays.
- Oversee cash handling, cash-ups and banking procedures.
- Monitor and manage shrinkage and loss prevention.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Manage staff attendance, punctuality, performance and conduct.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of store employees.
- Prepare and communicate operational information and reports to management.
- Manage opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure the store is adequately staffed according to operational requirements.
- Identify operational issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Work closely with regional/area management to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Previous retail management experience is essential.
- Proven experience managing a retail store or retail team.
- Experience managing sales, stock and cash operations.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good numerical and administrative ability.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
