Company Description Jo Borkett Fashions PTY is a long-established fashion brand with over six decades of experience in fashion design and retail, known for offering on-trend, affordable luxury to multiple generations of customers. The brand combines international fashion influences with styles tailored to the South African consumer, building strong client loyalty and trust over many years. Jo Borkett operates flagship stores in Sandton City and Rosebank Mall, outlet stores in Woodmead Value Mart and Access Park Kenilworth in Cape Town, as well as an online store.

Role Description The Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kenilworth Cape Town at our Access Park Store, responsible for overseeing daily store operations, leading the sales team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The role includes managing staff schedules, supervising floor activities, coaching team members, and driving sales targets while maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.

The Store Manager will handle inventory control, stock replenishment, and retail loss prevention measures to protect store assets and optimize profitability. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve monitoring customer service quality, resolving escalated customer issues, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for shoppers. The Store Manager will collaborate with head office on promotions, reporting, and performance metrics, while ensuring compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build lasting client relationships and deliver a high-quality in-store experience.
• Effective Communication skills for engaging with customers, guiding team members, and coordinating with management and support functions.
• Proven Store Management experience, including staff supervision, scheduling, sales performance oversight, and inventory handling in a fashion or retail environment.
• Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, with the ability to implement procedures that reduce shrinkage and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Prior experience in fashion retail, luxury or specialty stores is highly beneficial.
• Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with basic point-of-sale systems, retail reporting, and computer literacy.
• Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
• A relevant qualification in retail management, business, or a related field is advantageous but not strictly required if supported by strong experience.
