Store Manager – Premium Men’s Fashion

About the Role

An established upmarket men’s clothing brand is looking for a confident, stylish and sales-driven Store Manager to lead our store at Somerset Mall.

We are looking for someone who understands premium retail and exceptional customer service and who takes pride in creating a polished, professional shopping experience.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, commercially minded and able to lead from the front — building strong relationships with clients while motivating the team to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the store
• Drive turnover and ensure monthly sales targets and KPIs are achieved
• Lead, motivate and manage the sales team
• Deliver an exceptional, personalised customer experience
• Build relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business
• Maintain the premium image and standards of the brand at all times
• Ensure excellent visual merchandising and presentation of the store
• Manage stock levels, receiving, transfers and stocktakes
• Monitor and minimise stock losses and shrinkage
• Manage staff schedules, attendance and performance
• Train and develop team members in product knowledge, styling and selling techniques
• Monitor individual sales performance and provide ongoing coaching
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
• Ensure all company procedures, cash-up processes and operational standards are followed
• Provide regular feedback on sales, stock performance and customer trends

What We’re Looking For

• Previous fashion retail management experience is essential
• Experience within premium, luxury or upmarket fashion retail will be highly advantageous
• Strong sales ability with a proven track record of achieving targets
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills
• A genuine interest in men’s fashion, styling and current trends
• Well-groomed with a professional and polished appearance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident working with discerning clientele
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good understanding of stock control and retail operations
• Computer and POS system proficiency
• Matric/Grade 12
• Willing and able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

You are someone who enjoys fashion and understands that premium retail is about more than simply making a sale. You know how to create an experience that makes customers want to return.

You are comfortable taking ownership of a store, setting high standards for your team and being personally involved on the sales floor.
