JOB DESCRIPTION – Stores Supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· 3 years stores or warehouse experience preferably from a Leather & shoe Industry
· Be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines
· Good communication skills
· Computer literacy essential
Matric
relevant tertiary qualifications Preferable
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Be methodical and ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced on all levels
· Well organized and focused on service delivery
· Good interpersonal skills
· Meticulous

JOB DESCIPTION
· To execute the receiving and dispatching of stock to production and from suppliers.
· Raise delivery notes against the relevant accounts
· Return stock to suppliers for oversupply and inferior quality stock.
· Ensure all stock are coded
· Prepare stock requirements timeously
· Issue required stock as per procedures.
· Maintain effective stock control at all times.
· Complete GRN of stock received from suppliers and forward to Purchasing department.
· Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures
· Ensure Minimum and Maximum stock thresholds are maintained at all times
· Take part in stock take
DUTIES
A stores Supervisor is essential to any business that holds stock or large quantities. The role of the is to be responsible for managing all functions of stock.
The Stores Supervisor must ensure that stock levels do not run out. He/she must keep on top of stock issued and keep accurate of such issues.
1. Planning and Organizing Stock and Inventory
· One of the main duties that a stores Supervisor is responsible for is keeping track of what is stored in stock. Must monitor current stock levels and decide if there is enough or if more should be ordered. The supervisor is also be responsible for organizing inventory so it is easily accessible and safe for those working in the storage area.
2. Controlling Costs and Spending
· Responsible for monitoring where the stock is going and how much each department is using.
· Must ensure that each item is issued through a requisition from the relevant department.
· Ensure that each requisition is authorized and signed for when goods are delivered to the dept
· Responsible for helping to develop the most efficient system.
3. Accepting Deliveries of Goods.
· Responsible for accepting all deliveries of stock. This includes ensuring that they are not damaged, and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.
