Introduction Welcome to the evolution of premium home and lifestyle retail. Boardmans is redefining the brick-and-mortar experience. Grounded in the core frameworks of the Mars Growth Philosophy, we focus on driving deep market penetration, continuous mental availability, and maximizing seamless physical availability for our customers. We are looking for an agile, data-driven creative to bring our premium brand portfolio to life on the showroom floor.
Position Purpose As a Store Visual Merchandiser, you are responsible for maximizing commercial performance and brand equity by creating an immersive, inspiring, and frictionless in-store experience. You will optimize Physical Availability (through seamless product discovery and space management) and drive Mental Availability (via distinctive brand storytelling and high-impact layouts) to directly influence customer conversion and trading densities.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy Execution: Translate seasonal brand creative briefs into conversion-led floor layouts that appeal to our target personas (such as the Family Homemaker).
- Floor Space Optimization: Audit and adjust layouts using sales-per-square-meter data, optimizing "Good-Better-Best" pricing ladders and promotional cross-merchandising vignettes.
- Omnichannel Visual Alignment: Bridge the digital-to-physical gap by ensuring physical floor layouts mirror active digital marketing campaigns.
- Capacity & Compliance Management: Manage fixture capacity parameters to maximize stock availability without cluttering the premium aesthetic, while training store teams on daily recovery standards.
Requirements & Competencies
- Education: Relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, or Retail Operations.
- Experience: 3+ Years in Retail Visual Merchandising or Store Styling within a Home/Lifestyle environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of commercial design principles, retail data analysis (sales/margin/trading densities), and space planning software.
- Competencies: Deciding and initiating action, adapting and responding to change, and strong decision-influencing capabilities.
