Aluvent, part of the AluVision Group, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Storeman to join our Stores team.

This is a hands-on role for an individual who takes pride in maintaining accurate stock control, ensuring all stock movements are properly documented, and supporting the efficient operation of our manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in safeguarding inventory accuracy, maintaining organised storage areas, and ensuring that stock is available where and when it is needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming stock and verify deliveries against supporting documentation.
  • Conduct quality control checks on all received stock.
  • Ensure stock is correctly labelled and stored in designated locations.
  • Control all stock movement into and out of the stores.
  • Ensure no stock is moved without the correct documentation and authorisation.
  • Record all stock movements accurately and maintain up-to-date stock records.
  • Prepare stock and components for production, internal distribution and dispatch.
  • Assist with monthly stock takes, cycle counts and stock variance investigations.
  • Identify and report damaged, incorrect or low stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe stores environment.
  • Follow all company procedures, quality standards and health and safety requirements.
  • Assist other departments with stock-related requirements when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a stores, warehouse or inventory control environment.
  • Experience receiving, issuing and controlling stock.
  • Ability to maintain accurate stock records and documentation.
  • Experience conducting stock takes and investigating stock discrepancies.
  • Good understanding of stock control principles and inventory accuracy.
  • Basic computer literacy and experience with stock sheets or inventory systems.
  • Physically fit and able to safely handle stock and materials.
  • Forklift licence will be advantageous.
  • Valid South African driver's licence will be advantageous.
