Job Purpose
To maintain sufficient maintenance stocks in accordance with maintenance department requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities

- To ensure that all materials are available and issued as per maintenance requirements.
- To ensure that all stock min/max levels are maintained in accordance with specifications.
- To ensure that stock losses/shrinkages are eliminated.
- To ensure that redundant stock is prevented.
- To ensure the receiving and issuing of spares.
- To ensure the issuing out of tools and equipment.
- To ensure Stock control records are maintained as per company standards.
- To ensure monthly stocktake of spares.
- To ensure housekeeping of the Store..
- Identify reliable suppliers, request quotes, and evaluate potential vendors based on price, quality, and delivery lead times.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms, discounts, and delivery schedules. Issue official purchase orders and track them to ensure on-time delivery.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and check for damages.
Qualification Requirements
To perform effectively in this role, the following minimum qualifications and work experience are required:
- Grade 12
Experience Requirements
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Workshop/ Engineering environment.
