Storeman

We are looking for a reliable and organised Storeman to join our team in the print and packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling stock while ensuring accurate inventory records and supporting production requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Previous warehouse or stores experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Computer literacy (Excel and stock control systems advantageous)
• Good numerical skills
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required
• Physically fit and capable of handling stock safely

DUTIES

-RECEIVING STOCK

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries
• Verify quantities against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Report damaged or incorrect stock
• Store materials in designated locations

-ISSUING STOCK

• Issue stock to production departments accurately
• Ensure stock is issued against authorised requisitions
• Record all stock movements
• Maintain adequate stock levels for production

-STOCK CONTROL

• Perform daily cycle counts and monthly stock takes
• Investigate stock discrepancies
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages
• Ensure stock rotation is followed where applicable

-HOUSEKEEPING

• Keep the stores area clean, organised, and safe
• Ensure materials are stored correctly
• Follow company health and safety procedures

-ADMINISTRATION

• Capture stock transactions accurately on the system
• Handle delivery notes and related documentation
• Assist with stock reports when required
