The Storeman position is now available at Greenway Farms. This position ensures that the stock is available, well-organized, and readily accessible to support the operations team. The Storeman is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining stock or materials with attention to quality and stock levels. Suitable candidates with relevant Matric, Stores/Warehouse Certificate, Forklift Driving Certificate and relevant experience should apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent and Forklift Driving License as well as
• Certificate in inventory management, Stores/Warehouse or equivalent.
• 2 years relevant experience in inventory or warehouse management.
• 1 year experience with inventory management software for tracking and managing packaging materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

Receiving Production Materials:

• Accept and unload incoming shipments of Production materials, parts, stock.
• Inspect Production items received to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Record details of received stock accurately and promptl

Storing and Organizing Production Inventory:

• Store production materials in designated areas within the Production Stores, ensuring accessibility and safety.
• Maintain organization in storage areas, enabling quick retrieval for production needs.
• Regularly inspect storage conditions to prevent damage and optimize space.

Issuing Production Stock:

• Fulfil and distribute production stock requests as needed by the Production team.
• Accurately record stock issued and track remaining stock levels.
• Assist in preparing Production materials for daily production requirements.

Inventory Management for Production Stock:

• Conduct regular stock counts of Production materials to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Assist in inventory audits and report discrepancies to the Farm/Production Manager.
• Notify the Produduction/Farm Manager when production stock levels are low to enable timely reordering.

Record Keeping and Documentation:

• Use inventory management software to update stock levels for Production materials.
• Prepare regular reports on stock status, highlighting any potential shortages or surpluses.
• Keep thorough records of all transactions related to production stock.

Safety and Maintenance:

• Adhere to safety protocols within the Production to prevent accidents and protect stock.
• Identify and report any hazards in the storage areas to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure that any storage equipment is in good working condition.
