Join Race Coast Western Cape as Storeman (Maintenance) - Be Part of Our Exciting Journey!
Race Coast is seeking Storeman who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the onsite store including inventory management, record-keeping, and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment for construction activities. The Storeman will receive goods from suppliers, and ensure goods are stored correctly, track the movement of goods and be responsible for all paperwork related to the receiving and dispatching of goods.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and suppliers. The successful incumbent will report to the Maintenance Manager.

What You'll Do
Inventory Management:
· Maintain accurate inventory records of all materials, tools and equipment in the on-site store.
· Monitor stock levels and re-order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted construction activities.
· Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and address issues promptly.
Store Operations:
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the on-site store, including receiving, storing and issuing materials.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous material.
· Implement efficient storage and organisation systems to maximize space utilisation.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of store transactions, including receipts, invoices and delivery notes.
· Perform stock checks and report on stock levels.
· Prepare regular reports on inventory levels and store performance.
· Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide updates on store operations as required.
Computer Skills:
· Proficient in using computer software and systems for inventory management, and record-keeping.
· Ability to use spreadsheets, databases and other applications to analyse data and generate reports.
· Familiarity with construction specific software tools is an advantage.
· Any other duties that may be required.
What You’ll Need
· Matric/ Standard 10/ Grade 12/ Equivalent (required).
· Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
· Two to three (2-3) years’ experience in a similar position.
· A clear criminal record.
