Job description
A leading and renowned electrical company based in Maitland, is looking for a Storeman / Stock Controller to join their vibrant young team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, dynamic and business minded individual wanting to join a fast paced, rapid growing organisation, with great growth and career opportunity as the group is expanding. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 - 5 years’ experience within a similar role.
You will be responsible for:
Stock Control:
Answering & screening of telephone calls and relaying messages
Ensure that Suppliers are managed properly to ensure a good relationship and help with better cost pricing and prioritised stock deliveries.
Ensure that all stock received is correctly and timeously captured
Ensure all stock returns and warranty claims are done accurately and in an appropriate manner and credit note is received within 2 weeks.
Ensure that all stock received is checked accurately and stored in the correct safe area.
Ensure that all stock areas are kept neat and tidy.
Ensure that all stock to be dispatched the next day is ready with paperwork before close of business the previous day.
Ensure that the company pricelist is always up to date (updated monthly) and sent to all the relevant team members.
Conduct accurate stock takes and ensure that the stock QTY’s are kept accurate between stock takes
Minimum Stock levels are managed at all times.
Stock is managed properly & effectively: Vehicle stock, Daily stock used by teams, daily stock prep for next day done (Where possible). All book-outs done the day before.
Qualifications:
Matric/Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma / Certificate will be adv.
Minimum 4 - 5 Years experience in electrical wholesaler/contractor environment Experience with stock control, purchasing & supplier management
Working knowledge of: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Skills:
Good communication skills and able to work well with a diverse team (Afrikaans & English)
Deadline orientated and work well under pressure
Attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Positive and assertive attitude
A good team player
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Must be someone who is bubbly, humorous and pleasant
