Stores Controller

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Stores Controller to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day store and inventory operations, ensuring efficient receiving, proper storage, precise stock control, and smooth dispatch processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory & Stock Management: Conduct regular stock takes, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure 100% stock accuracy.
• Receiving & Dispatch: Inspect incoming shipments for quality, quantity, and damage against purchase orders; process outwards dispatch efficiently.
• Store Organization: Maintain clean, safe, and well-structured store layouts to optimize workflow and safety standards.
• Documentation & Data Entry: Accurately record all stock movements (goods received notes, dispatches, transfers) in the inventory management system / ERP.
• Supplier & Courier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal department heads regarding deliveries, discrepancies, or delays.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, inventory security, and store policies at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Stores Controller, Storeman, or Inventory Controller.
• Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Store Keeping is an advantage).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Paste, or similar).
• Attributes: Strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and good problem-solving abilities.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical aspects of the role (lifting, moving stock) as required.
• Certification: Valid driver’s license and/or forklift license (preferred).
