Stores, Inventory & Workshop Manager

We are an established supplier to the wine and industrial sectors, providing equipment, consumables and technical services, including compressed air, filtration, cellar equipment, pumps, installations, servicing, repairs and maintenance.

We are looking for an experienced, organised and hands-on Stores, Inventory & Workshop Manager to manage our inventory, stores and day-to-day workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

Stores & Inventory

• Manage stock control, stock movements and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure stock is correctly received, stored, issued and recorded.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with purchasing and replenishment.
• Obtain supplier quotations and assist with procurement.
• Maintain stores administration and inventory reporting.
• Ensure an organised, efficient and clean stores environment.

Workshop

• Manage daily workshop operations, workflow and work-in-progress.
• Lead and coordinate technicians and allocate repair and maintenance work.
• Oversee fault-finding, servicing, repairs and refurbishment of equipment.
• Manage preventative maintenance and ensure work meets company standards.
• Coordinate workshop and customer-site technical work.
• Ensure parts and consumables are available and control workshop stock and tools.
• Maintain accurate job cards, service records and equipment histories.
• Monitor labour, parts, overtime and workshop costs.
• Prepare technicians, spares and workshop capacity for peak harvest periods.
• Manage company vehicle administration, servicing, licensing and maintenance schedules.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in stores, inventory, workshop or operational management.
• Experience managing inventory of significant value.
• Experience supervising staff or technicians.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Working knowledge of Sage accounting/inventory software.
• Strong organisational, administrative and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licence.

Experience in the engineering, industrial equipment, manufacturing, technical service or wine industry will be advantageous.
