Stores Manager

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Stores Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and control of our Stores function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring full traceability of stock movements, supervising Stores staff and ensuring that all Stores processes and procedures are consistently followed.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is detail-oriented, process-driven and confident managing people, stock and systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise Stores staff and daily Stores activities.
• Maintain accurate stock control and traceability.
• Oversee stock receiving, issuing, allocation, verification and transfers.
• Ensure physical stock movements accurately correspond with system transactions.
• Monitor Works Orders, Allocations, WIP and Stock Verification processes.
• Identify and follow up on stock shortages, discrepancies and outstanding Works Orders.
• Maintain appropriate re-order levels and prepare stock reports.
• Ensure accurate and controlled documentation and filing.
• Maintain good housekeeping, stock identification and organised warehouse areas.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions where required.
• Liaise with Procurement, Production and other departments to ensure smooth stock flow.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a Stores/Warehouse/Inventory Management role.
• Proven ability to manage and supervise a team.
• Strong understanding of stock control, inventory management and warehouse processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy and traceability.
• Experience working with Pastel or similar ERP/inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to monitor and enforce procedures and company policies.
• Good problem-solving and discrepancy-investigation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / quality management systems would be an advantage.

Pay: R15 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
