Strake Ayres: Store Assistant

This dual-role position combines customer-facing responsibilities with essential cleaning and maintenance duties. The position requires working outdoors and indoors, assisting customers, handling plants and products, and helping to keep our premises clean and presentable.

oClean and sanitize customer and staff areas (including restrooms, floors, and communal spaces)

oSweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness in greenhouses, sales areas, and workspaces

oTake out trash and manage recycling as needed

oEnsure all public-facing areas are tidy, safe, and welcoming

oPerform regular checks to ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and notify management when reordering is required

oProvides excellent, professional customer service at all times; ensuring a positive shopping experience.

oAssists customers with purchases by advising or sourcing relevant advice from horticultural personnel.

oLoads customers trolleys with their purchase and guides them to the till points and assist the cashier with capturing the correct code/price of products.

oAfter payment, carefully loads purchases into the customers vehicle, ensuring that all trolleys are returned to the trolley areas as per seasonal operational requirements.

oAssists with the correct labelling of plants, Products and packs them in their correct sales areas.

oPrepares areas for new stock.

oEnsures that sales areas are always kept neat and tidy products and plants are effectively displayed.

oAssists with annual stock take.
