Job description

Strategic Operations & Execution LeaderPart-Time Strategic Project | 10–20 Hours Per Week | South Africa-Based PreferredIf you’ve spent your career helping businesses execute better, we’d like to talk.

You naturally see bottlenecks before other people do.

You think in numbers, dashboards, output, accountability, priorities, and operating rhythm.

You ask questions like:

  • What did we say we were going to do this week?
  • Did it actually happen?
  • If not, why not?
  • What activity is driving results?
  • What should leadership be measuring?
  • Where is the business losing momentum?
  • How do we make execution simpler, faster, and more visible?

You may come from operations, project management, technical program management, consulting, EOS implementation, business transformation, or another execution-focused background.

Your title matters less than how you think.

We’re looking for someone who has helped growing businesses become more productive, more accountable, and more measurable.

If you’re reading this thinking, “This sounds like the kind of work I do best,” we’d like to meet you.

About the Opportunity

We are a U.S.-based, founder-led professional services firm that has been operating since 2012.

This is not a new startup trying to figure out what it wants to become. The company has more than a decade of execution behind it, a strong market position, a deep executive network, and a clear strategic push into its next stage of growth.

The founder brings a management consulting background, a top MBA, and more than twelve years of experience advising founders, executives, and leadership teams.

The business has already built meaningful assets, including:

  • A strong professional reputation.
  • Thousands of executive relationships.
  • Approximately 6,000 LinkedIn executive connections.
  • An established service offering.
  • A growing content and thought leadership platform.
  • A completed book that has not yet been fully activated.
  • A Chief of Staff based in South Africa.
  • A team and tools already in place to execute.
  • A founder who is investing in systems, accountability, AI, content, and scale.

The next chapter is about disciplined execution.

We are building a stronger operating system around the business so that priorities are clearer, output is more visible, the team is more accountable, and the company can scale with less friction.

That is where this role comes in.

Why This Role Exists

We are not looking for someone to run the business.

We are not looking for someone to manage every department.

We are not looking for an executive assistant.

We are looking for a strategic operations and execution partner who can work directly with the Founder and Chief of Staff to help the business produce more consistent, measurable output.

This role is about execution visibility.

It is about knowing whether the business is doing what it said it would do.

It is about KPIs, scorecards, activity, accountability, cadence, and follow-through.

It is about helping leadership understand:

  • Are we producing enough outreach?
  • Are we booking enough meetings?
  • Are projects moving?
  • Is recruiting activity where it needs to be?
  • Is marketing content actually being published?
  • Are priorities being completed?
  • Where are things stuck?
  • What needs to change next week?

You do not need to know our industry deeply.

In some ways, it may be better if you do not come in with industry assumptions.

The Founder and Chief of Staff understand the business. What we want from you is operating discipline, execution focus, KPI thinking, and the ability to help a growing company become more productive.

Your Mission

Your mission is simple:

Help the business execute better every week.

Not theoretically.

Not through long strategy decks.

Through measured output.

You will help build and strengthen the operating rhythm that keeps the company focused, accountable, and moving.

You will help us define what should be measured, how it should be reviewed, who owns what, and where leadership attention is needed.

You will help make the business more productive without adding unnecessary complexity.

  • Client activity.
  • Search progress.
  • Content production.
  • Content publishing.
  • Project completion.
  • Team capacity.
  • Bottlenecks.
  • Weekly priorities.

The goal is not to create pretty dashboards.

The goal is to create visibility that drives better execution.

2. Weekly Operating Cadence

This may include:

  • Weekly scorecards.
  • Leadership meeting structure.
  • Rocks and quarterly priorities.
  • Accountability reviews.
  • Project check-ins.
  • Activity reporting.
  • Decision tracking.
  • Follow-up discipline.

We want a business where everyone knows what matters, what is due, what is behind, and what needs attention.

3. Monday.com and Execution Systems

Our Chief of Staff uses to manage execution.

You will help make sure the system supports the way the business actually operates.

This includes helping ensure that projects and initiatives have:

  • Clear owners.
  • Due dates.
  • Statuses.
  • Priorities.
  • Next actions.
  • Relevant KPIs.
  • Clear visibility for leadership.

should become the operational heartbeat of the company, not just a place where tasks are stored.

4. Output and Production Review

You will help leadership review whether the company is producing enough of the right activity.

Examples:

Business Development:

  • Are enough emails going out?
  • Are enough LinkedIn messages going out?
  • Are follow-ups happening?
  • Are meetings increasing?

Recruiting:

  • Are enough candidates being contacted?
  • Are searches moving fast enough?
  • Are interviews happening?
  • Where are candidates getting stuck?

Marketing:

  • Are videos being published?
  • Are posts going out?
  • Are newsletters moving?
  • Are campaigns being completed?

Operations:

  • Are projects on track?
  • Are priorities being completed?
  • Are there recurring delays?
  • Is the team spending time on the right work?

This role is not about blaming people.

It is about making performance visible so the team can improve.

5. Process Improvement

You will help identify where the business is losing time, energy, or clarity.

You may help improve:

  • Reporting.
  • Meeting structure.
  • Workflow handoffs.
  • Team communication.
  • Documentation.
  • SOPs.
  • Decision tracking.
  • Project visibility.
  • Capacity planning.

The goal is always the same:

Make execution easier.

6. AI, Automation, and Tool Leverage

We are open to modern tools and better ways of working.

You do not need to be a deep technical expert, but you should be curious about how technology, AI, and automation can increase capacity.

This may include:

  • ChatGPT.
  • Gemini.
  • Google Workspace.
  • automations.
  • HubSpot workflows.
  • Reporting dashboards.
  • AI-supported meeting notes.
  • Repeatable prompts.
  • Workflow automation.

Technology is not the point.

Execution is the point.

Tools should help the business produce more with less friction.

How You’ll Work

You will work directly with:

  • The Founder.
  • The Chief of Staff.
  • Key team members as needed.

The Chief of Staff is based in South Africa and is already central to execution across the business. We are intentionally looking for experienced South African talent who can bring strong operating discipline, global business perspective, and high professional standards to this next stage.

This is a collaborative role.

We want someone who brings ideas.

We want someone who asks good questions.

We want someone who challenges us when needed.

We want someone who can say:

  • “You’re measuring the wrong thing.”
  • “Thi
