Job Advert Summary
Eduvos is seeking to appoint a Student Affairs Employability Temp on a 3-month fixed-term basis.
Position:
To provide additional administrative capacity to support the growing volume of Employability and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activities.
Position Type:
- Fixed Term Contract
Minimum Requirements
Minimum qualification:
Undergraduate qualification in human resources, business management, education, psychology, career development, or a related field
Experience:
At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably within a Higher Education environment, providing career services or employability support to students
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
As the Student Affairs Employability Temp you will be primarily responsible for the following:
Graduate Employability & Graduate Outcomes
- Assist with the collection, capturing, monitoring and reporting of graduate employment and further-study statistics
- Contact graduates to confirm and update their current employment, further-study or job-seeking status
- Follow up with graduates who have not responded to employment status requests
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date graduate employment records and databases
- Identify outstanding or incomplete graduate information and follow up with relevant stakeholders
- Assist with Graduate Destination Surveys and other graduate outcome data collection initiatives
- Direct unemployed graduates to relevant career support, job opportunities and alumni resources where appropriate
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Administration & Tracking
- Assist with the collection, capturing and monitoring of WIL statistics
- Follow up with students regarding their WIL placement status and outstanding placement information
- Assist with identifying students who require placement support or follow-up
- Support communication with students and relevant internal stakeholders regarding WIL administration
- Assist with compiling WIL reports and statistics as required
Job Board & Employment Opportunities
- Assist with the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the employability/job board
- Capture, upload, categorise and update graduate, internship, learnership, entry-level and other relevant employment opportunities
- Monitor opportunities to ensure information is current and relevant
- Assist with communicating relevant opportunities to students and graduates
- Support the tracking of student and graduate engagement with employment opportunities where required
Employability InitiativesAdministration & Support
- Provide administrative support for national employability and work readiness initiatives
- Support the implementation of employability events, workshops, initiatives and student development activities
- Assist with event planning, registrations, attendance tracking, communications and logistics
- Support the coordination of student participation and engagement in employability activities and initiatives
- Assist with maintaining records, schedules and relevant programme documentation
- Provide on-the-ground administrative support during employability activities and initiatives
Career Consultations & Student Support
- Provide administrative support for student career consultations and appointments
- Assist students with basic career-readiness support, including:

- CV and cover letter preparation

- LinkedIn profile development

- Interview preparation

- Job-search strategies

- Professional profiles and personal branding

- General work-readiness guidance
- Schedule and coordinate consultations and maintain appropriate consultation records
- Escalate complex student career queries to the relevant Career Services staff member where required
General Departmental Support
- Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives aligned to the department's strategic objectives

- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small team.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling student and graduate information.
