Job description
SANTS is an accredited Private Higher Education Institution focused on initial teacher training and continued professional teacher development through a distance mode of delivery. SANTS seeks to appoint a suitable candidate as a Student Support Advisor within its Student Support Department.
Position: Student Support Advisor
Role: The Student Support Advisor is responsible for different student administration, engagement, experience and support activities within the Student Support Department (SSD). This role is a key cog that drives the different activities within the Student Support Department (SSD).
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first contact point for students through our student engagement platforms including the telephony system, student information system, email and WhatsApp.
- Build product knowledge of all SANTS activities including applications, assessments, graduations, enrolments, workplace integrated learning, etc.
- Attending to and resolving of student inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Identifying student pain-points and attend to their issues kindly and patiently.
- Assist students to navigate different student engagement platforms including the Student Information System (SIS) and the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Attend to enquiries that come through the telephony systems (inbound and outbound calls).
- Escalate complex enquiries to Senior SSD Advisors and Team Leads.
- Attend to student applications on the student applications platform as allocated by the SSD Recruitment Team Lead.
- Support the Workplace Integrated Learning team lead in administering the school placements and student/assessor pairings.
- Support the SSD Applications team lead in administering the student enrolment process.
- Involvement in graduation process including preparations and participation in all graduation related activities.
- Attend to different student administration activities as allocated by the different SSD team leaders.
- Support SSD team leaders in preparing for and rolling out graduation ceremonies.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric or NQF Level 5 qualification or B Degree (preferable) in Business Management/ Customer Service/Marketing.
- Three years' experience in student administration, support and recruitment and or customer service environment.
- Trackable experience in supporting inbound and outbound customers in a B2C environment.
- Proficiency and eloquence in English and two indigenous languages.
- Experience in working with a Student Information System and/or Learning Management System
- Experience in working with a contact centre telephony and enquiries CRM platforms
- Entry level MS Excel skills.
- Passion for customer service.
- Ambitious high performer.
Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience in the relevant field.
