Eduvos is looking to employ a Success Coach on a temporary basis at any of our National campuses.
Type of role:
Fixed-Term (2 months)
Purpose of the role:
The Success Coach plays a key role in driving student engagement, supporting reflection, and encouraging sustained participation in a personalised, self-directed learning programme delivered via the Reflective Learning platform. This is a short-term, high-impact role focused on student motivation, engagement monitoring, and proactive support — not academic lecturing or content delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field. Preferred: Honours degree (NQF Level 8) in Education, Psychology, Academic Development, or related disciplines.
- At least 2–3 years’ experience in student support, academic advising, or higher education. · Preferred: Experience in flexible or distance learning models, particularly self-directed / online learning environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Student Engagement and Support
- Guide students through their diagnostic results and help them understand their personalised learning pathways
- Facilitate reflective conversations to build confidence and normalise learning gaps
- Clearly communicate the purpose, value, and expectations of Project Level Up
Engagement Monitoring and Intervention
- Monitor student activity and progress using Reflective Learning dashboards
- Identify early signs of disengagement and initiate timely follow-ups
- Support student activation and ongoing participation throughout the programme
Communication and Motivation
- Manage student communication channels (e.g. MS Teams groups)
- Encourage participation, reinforce key messages, and celebrate student progress
- Maintain a positive and motivating student experience
Data-Informed Support
- Use platform data to prioritise interventions and guide engagement strategies
- Track student interactions and maintain accurate records of support provided
Escalation and Coordination
- Escalate risks, disengagement trends, or system-related issues through defined channels
- Work closely with the National Academic Support Lead and Reflective Learning team
- Contribute to identifying patterns and insights to support pilot success
Functional and Behavioural Competencies
Functional Competencies:
- Student Support & Engagement: Ability to provide personalised guidance, build rapport, and maintain ongoing communication with students in a self-directed learning environment.
- Enrolment & Administrative Systems: Proficiency in using Eduvos systems (myLMS, CRM, contract management) to track enrolments, escalate issues, and monitor progress.
- Learning Journey Quality Assurance: Capacity to evaluate LMS pages and content from a student perspective, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Strong ability to track student progress, compile reports, and escalate challenges to the Start Anytime project team.
- Knowledge Base Development: Skilled in creating FAQs, guides, and multimedia resources (articles, videos) to support students. · Assessment Familiarity: Understanding of assessment structures (summative, supplementary, timelines) within flexible, self-paced learning models

- Student-Centred Mindset: Keeps student experience at the core of decision-making and actions, acting as the “student voice” in the project. · Resilience & Professionalism: Maintains composure and professionalism in the face of challenges or high-pressure situations.
