Superintendent Engineering Asset Management

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Clear security screening record.
• NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) Asset Management or Maintenance Planning qualification. Law Exam (Law & Technical Ability Module )
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Proficient in analysing data and identifying failure trends etc.
• At least 5 years' experience in a Supervisory role with exposure to acting and experienced in managing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS - specifically SAP PM).

Key Responsibilities

• Information Management
• Implement and audit systems to ensure work is controlled through work orders and information loops are closed.
• Oversee and revise CMMS procedures and strategies for the Sibanye-Stillwater SA Region.
• Manage master data processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Planning and Scheduling
• Ensure safety and environmental protocols are incorporated into CMMS PM task lists and inspection sheets.
• Develop and monitor SAP capacity planning and scheduling processes.
• Monitor planned shutdown activities against critical path analysis (Excel or MS Projects).
• Analysis and Improvement
• Continually analyse CMMS maintenance history to identify recurring failure patterns.
• Collaborate with Engineering for maintenance best practice and preventative methods and techniques.
• Ensure CMMS standardisation and best maintenance practices across Sibanye-Stillwater SA Region.
• Research, develop and implementation of maintenance management best practices.
• Conduct CMMS audits to enforce standardised practices.
• Asset Management Strategy
• Assist in developing a long-term maintenance and asset management strategy for the Region.
• Serve as the Planned Maintenance Centre of Excellence for the SA Region.
• Implement KPIs to monitor and measure key elements of Asset Management and Planned Maintenance.
• Develop and define business processes, roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for Planned Maintenance.
• Facilitate and participate in annual Asset Management audits.
• Conduct maintenance CMMS process benchmarks and audits

Additional Requirements

• Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) experience would be advantageous
• Advantageous – CMMS (SAP, Pragma, etc.) PM Modules
• Advantageous: Trade qualification

Job Purpose

• To coordinate, implement and manage Asset Management and Planned Maintenance activities for the company by providing planning, control systems and implementation of policies and strategies for the management of the assets and equipment whilst optimising the interface with other departmental systems
