Job Purpose Supervise and manage all activities of the warehouse by ensuring effective and efficient receiving, handling, storage, picking & stock movement from inbound to outbound.
Key Responsibilities
- To execute and supervise the daily operations of the warehouse
- Ensure that warehouse floor space and height capacity is utilized to its maximum potential
- Ensure that the daily targeted picking slips are picked, checked and invoiced in accordance with the priority listing or routing
- Ensure that stock losses/gains are minimized to warehouse's agreed objective to reduce bad goods
- Ensure that warehouse stock damage is managed and bad goods disposed of and accounted for as per procedures
- Ensure effective adherence to stock rotation system
- Ensure that all picking slips is accounted for and checked
- Ensure Coa's are requested and received timeously
- Ensure that KPI's set are met and recorded daily
- Ensure that all internal systems and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure that all reports daily or monthly are completed timeously and correctly
- Do warehouse inspections regularly on a daily basis with involvement from the employees as too direct and educate same
- Ensure cuts and alterations on picking slips are signed for and approved by yourself
- Supervise correct and accurate stock counts
- Communicate and report all warehouse incidents regularly and when requested
- Ensure daily and weekly Invocom's for all staff under your control
- Ensure daily stock rotation and counts
- Inbound and outbound targets for loading and offloading are met
Experience And Qualifications
- Relevant experience in FMCG environment
- 2 years supervisory experience in a similar environment
- Warehouse and stock management experience
- Health and safety experience
- Industrial relations experience
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification
