Role Description
The Supply Chain Intern will support daily supply chain and operations activities in a full-time, on-site role based in the City of Cape Town. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory tracking, stock reconciliation, and maintaining accurate data in inventory systems. The intern will help monitor purchase orders and order follow-up, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and support the analysis of supply chain performance metrics. The role also involves preparing basic reports, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and supporting the logistics and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient product flow across wholesale and retail channels.
Education Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
Core Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with an interest in data-driven problem solving and process improvement.
- Foundational knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Shipping and Logistics.
- Basic understanding of Inventory Management practices and comfort working with inventory or ERP systems.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic productivity tools for reporting and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
