Job description
We are hiring a Supply Chain & Ops Lead to own the strategic layer of our supply chain - inbound, demand planning, inventory decisions, and 3PL performance across our South African warehouse, China 3PL, and USA 3PL.
This role reports directly to the CEO and is for someone who wants to own and build a supply chain function properly inside a growing global D2C brand.
This is not a generalist operations role and it is not a pure execution role. It is a focused supply chain role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems across forecasting, replenishment, freight, stock positioning, and partner performance.
You will help us build the systems, rhythms, and decision-making layer that keeps the business in stock, on time, and operating at the right cost as we scale globally.
What You’ll Own:
Inbound & Production
- Lead container planning - timing, consolidation, booking, and freight decisions
- Manage freight forwarder relationships - inbound documentation, customs clearance, and escalations
- Create visibility around inbound risks and delays before they impact stock availability
Demand Planning & Inventory
- Own the rolling demand forecast by SKU and channel (AI Systemised)
- Drive inventory planning decisions — what to order, when to order, and where stock should sit
- Track days cover across all locations and proactively

- Bring stock reallocation and replenishment recommendations to leadership with clear rationale
- Help improve the quality, accuracy, and usability of our forecasting and inventory planning models
3PL Performance
- Own performance management across our SA warehouse, China 3PL, and US 3PL
- Hold 3PLs accountable to SLAs — pick/pack accuracy, ful

llment speed, inventory accuracy, and issue resolution
- Identify performance gaps and drive solutions with partners
- Improve how we measure and manage 3PL and carrier performance over time
Systems, Data & Process Improvement
- Build and improve the systems and reporting that support supply chain decisions
- Use data to improve forecasting, inventory strategy, and operational visibility
- Help shape the AI and automation layer around supply chain planning, monitoring, and exception management
- Create processes that scale with the business rather than relying on manual workarounds
Outbound Oversight
- Monitor outbound order

- 3PLs are measured clearly and held to a high standard
- Supply chain decisions are commercially sound and backed by data
- The function becomes more scalable through better systems, reporting, and automation
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You
Have 3+ years of experience in supply chain , with real ownership across inbound, forecasting, inventory, freight, or 3PL management
Have worked in a physical product business , where manufacturing lead times, stock planning, freight, and ful

Have experience in D2C, or multi-market ful

Are highly detail-oriented and accountable — you catch issues early and take ownership of outcomes
Are data-driven and systems-minded — you like building processes and tools that make better decisions possible
Are comfortable working in Cin7, Shopify, inventory systems, ERPs, or similar operational tools
Are curious about how AI and automation can improve planning, visibility, and execution
Are commercially minded — you think about inventory in terms of cash, risk, return, and customer experience
Thrive in lean, fast-moving environments where you are trusted to lead
Have exposure to cross-border supply chain , whether through Asia manufacturing, international freight, multiple ful
