System Test Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented System Test Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and reporting on system testing activities to ensure software applications meet business and technical requirements before deployment.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and System Testing.
• Proven experience in functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience in developing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience using defect management and test management tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and system requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects until resolution.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers to ensure quality deliverables.
• Review business and functional requirements to identify test scenarios.
• Validate system enhancements, upgrades, and bug fixes.
• Prepare testing reports and provide recommendations before production deployment.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support activities where required.
• Ensure compliance with organisational quality standards and testing methodologies.
• Continuously improve testing processes and quality assurance practices.
