Tactical Support Officer

Position: Tactical Support Officer (TSO)

Role Summary:

IZI South Africa is hiring a Tactical Support Officer (TSO) for our Ladysmith branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the TSO ensures the security of premises and assets through strict adherence to company policy and facilities management best practices. We seek a result-driven professional with sound judgment to uphold our organizational values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute strict access control and security protocols for property perimeters and internal areas.
• Maintain loading procedures and perform regular testing of alarm systems and panic buttons.
• Conduct after-hours premises checks and serve as a rotational key holder.
• Oversee operational equipment, firearms, and ammunition, ensuring accurate registration and licensing compliance.
• Verify staff adherence to SOPs for banking, payouts, and armored vehicle operations.
• Manage armored vehicle pre-departure inspections and provide armed escort services.
• Lead departmental investigations and criminal inquiries as required.

Personnel & Safety Management:

• Uphold branch morale, security awareness, and professional company image.
• Ensure staff compliance with uniform standards and safety policies.
• Collaborate on safety planning, reporting, and refresher training programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 certificate.
• PSIRA Grade C and CIT certification.
• Valid Firearm Competency.
• Valid Drivers Licence and Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Core Competencies:

• Knowledge of South African security and health/safety legislation.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Expertise in risk management and investigative procedures.
• Ability to adapt and perform effectively under high-pressure conditions.
