Tasting Room Manager

The Tasting Room Manager at Du Toitskloof Wines plays a vital role. Not only serving as the primary brand ambassador for all visitors but also driving direct-to-consumer sales and managing daily operations within the tasting room.

Working in the picturesque Breedekloof surrounded by mountains and vineyards is a real blessing and representing one of SA’s most loved brands a real privilege.

We are looking for a professional individual with infectious enthusiasm to lead the tasting room experience. Key requirements include a friendly and approachable nature, basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license and the ability to communicate effectively in both Afrikaans and English.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead front-of-house operations to deliver a welcoming experience for tour groups, walk-in visitors, and VIP guests.
• Guide guests through curated wine tastings across Du Toitskloof's range.
• Maintain high standards of visual presentation, cleanliness, and layout across the tasting room and outdoor seating areas.
• Drive cellar-door sales targets for wines.
• Promote and recruit members for the Du Toitskloof Wine Club.
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, daily reconciliation, and sales reporting.
• Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment.
• Manage staff performance and service level consistency.
• Assist in the organising of on-site events, private functions and weekend activities.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on seasonal promotions, local tourism initiatives and new product launches.
• Occasionally present DTK wines at off-site events, tastings and wine shows.
