Group Finance provides financial governance, strategic enablement and reporting across Momentum Group. As subject matter experts in many finance-related functions, we play a central role in evaluating potential corporate financial deals and serve as the focal point for tax-related matters, such as new regulations and compliance.
We are seeking a highly professional, proactive, and service-oriented Tax Administrator to provide comprehensive support for the Group Tax function. The successful candidate will assist with tax compliance, administration, reporting, and governance activities.

Role Purpose Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Group Tax team, including the effective management of SARS eFiling, maintenance of tax records and documentation, and coordination of ad hoc tax-related activities and projects.
Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).

Degree with a specialisation in Taxation.

1 to 2 years' relevant experience in a tax administration or similar role.

Experience with SARS eFiling will be advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for all eFiling administration for Group Tax, as well as the various entities within the Momentum Group, which includes but is not limited to:
- User registration, including registering new users on eFiling with access to the correct companies (including CISs).
- Deleting users once they resign or retire from the Group.
- Taxpayer registration, including registering the various taxpayers with the correct tax types. Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) applications. Merging taxpayers.
- Confirming and requesting tax types, and moving taxpayers from one profile to another. Maintaining SARS registered details. Confirming banking details. Ad hoc VAT eFiling administration.
- ROTS and Tax Directive matters.

Assisting with all SARS correspondence and letters, and facilitating SARS audit requests with the business to obtain the necessary information.

Income Tax compliance for CISs and other smaller Group companies. Completion of forms for the different taxes to comply with both South African and international legislation (e.g. DWT exemptions, FATCA certification, CRS certification, and eFiling-specific forms for organisations).

Engaging with SARS to ensure all tax documentation for various entities within the Group is up to date. (This may involve ad hoc travel to SARS offices).

Liaising with Company Secretarial to ensure the MDM Group CoSec list is maintained and updated regularly for all tax-related fields.

Monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual monitoring of tax payments (IT, VAT, DWT, and PAYE) within the Momentum Group via the Konsise tool, and providing compliance analytics. Assisting with Tax Risk quarterly reporting and quarterly Reportable Arrangements reporting to SARS.
