Job description
A growing, award winning professional services firm is looking for an enthusiastic Tax Team Administrator to join their Cape Town office. You will be highly organised Tax Team Administrator and will provide exceptional administrative support to our busy Business Tax department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, professional environment where your proactive approach will directly free up our fee-earning staff to focus on client-facing work.
You'll work alongside a supportive team of administrators, bringing fresh ideas and challenging current processes to help us work more efficiently.

Draft and edit reports, including graphs and diagrams

Run WIP reports and analysis

Manage department post distribution

Communicate with HMRC via phone and online portals

Arrange meetings and manage diary schedules

Support marketing initiatives and requirements

Handle client onboarding and anti-money laundering correspondence

Client Administration
-
Type and format professional clearance letters, HMRC correspondence, and fee protection service letters

Prepare CT61 letters, Forms 64-8, and penalty appeals

Tax Systems & Data Management (Alphatax / CCH)

Produce weekly compliance reports and follow-up reminders

Update portfolio allocations and enter new client data

E-file tax returns and complete iXBRL accounts tagging

Create, monitor, and track attendance for tax training courses via our learning management system

Liaise with internal and external training providers

Organise face-to-face and virtual training sessions, including room bookings and diary management

Drive employee engagement for the tax training function

You will be highly organised with the ability to organise and support others

Confident juggling multiple tasks and prioritising under pressure

A true team player with a willingness to help colleagues

Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills

Quick to learn and adaptable

Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience with Alphatax or CCH beneficial, but not essential — full training provided

Familiarity with tax systems and e-filing an advantage
