Job description
Parts Incorporated Africa is searching for a Inventory Supervisor to join the team at the **Meadowview Warehouse (RDJB).**The purpose of this position is to oversee all daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in receiving, storing, and shipping.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- Previous WMS and Picking experience.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in warehousing.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Adaptability.
- Teamwork.
- Decision Making.
- Flexibility.
- Work overtime when required.
- Show ability to understand and grasp issues that may arise in the warehouse and to be able to come up with solutions that meet the Warehouse Manager expectations.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform operational ad hoc responsibilities as and when required.
- Responsible for employee’s well-being.
Key Performance Indicators includes, but not limited to:
- Consolidate exercises to ensure stock is kept together and maximize space utilization.
- Managing inventory levels, optimizing workflows,
- Accurate inventory records (minimized stockouts and overstock location).
- Regular cycle counts or wall to wall counts
- Maintain inventory accuracy rate (reduce stockout and complete all scheduled cycle counts
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping
- Resolve inventory queries
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels across various categories to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy in stock counts.
Management
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to forecast inventory needs and initiate orders as necessary.
- Utilize inventory management software to monitor stock levels, track orders, and generate reports for management
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members on inventory processes and systems.
