Team Manager - Sales

The Team Manager - Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing business opportunities and managing the sales teams to achieve strategic targets. The role involves prospecting, lead generation, client relationship management and overseeing marketing initiatives to enhance brand positioning and sales effectiveness.

The ultimate goal of this role is to increase revenue for the group through innovative sales strategies, strong client acquisition and retention practices.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development & Sales (60%)

· Develop and implement new sales strategies to achieve revenue targets

· Prospect and convert potential clients into business opportunities

· Create compelling proposals and presentations for clients

· Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities

· Conduct market research to identify new trends, customer needs, and potential target markets.

· Develop quotes, proposals, and contracts for potential and existing clients.

· Establish industry partnerships with strategic business alliances to enhance sales.

· Ensure the campus and all touchpoints project a professional and appealing image to stakeholders.

· Ensure consistent brand representation

Team Management (30%)

· Lead, motivate and manage the sales and schools marketing teams to meet revenue and enrolment targets.

· Set clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure teams achieve their goals.

· Provide ongoing coaching and training to improve team performance.

· Monitor and evaluate team performance daily, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed.

· Align team activities with the organisation’s mission and growth strategy.

· Manage recruitment and staff development

Reporting (10%)

• Submit weekly and monthly reports on sales, marketing efforts and business development progress.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, conversions and market insights to inform decision-making.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Revenue Growth – Achieve and exceed set sales and revenue targets.
• Lead Conversion – Increase client acquisition rates and improve conversion percentages.
• Client Retention – Strengthen relationships with existing clients and reduce drop-offs.
• Team Performance – Ensure the sales and schools marketing teams meet performance objectives.
• Market Expansion – Successfully penetrate new markets and increase brand awareness.

Required Qualifications

· Sales/Marketing qualification

· 3-5 years sales or business development management experience

· Proven track record in sales leadership

· Experience in tertiary education industry preferred
