🚀 Technical Manager (MSP) – Cape Town

We’re looking for a hands‑on Technical Manager to lead the full technical operations of a Managed Services environment, ensuring secure, stable, and high‑performing client infrastructures while guiding and developing a high‑calibre technical team.

📍 Set‑Up: In-Office with occasional client‑site travel required

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and manage end‑to‑end technical operations across support, engineering, infrastructure, and projects
• Manage and mentor a small L1-L3 Service Desk and Desktop Support Technical Team, driving accountability, performance, and growth
• Oversee service delivery, ensuring SLA adherence and high‑quality client outcomes
• Build and enforce SOPs, documentation, and repeatable operational processes
• Own infrastructure planning, risk reduction, and proactive improvement initiatives
• Ensure strong security posture (M365, endpoints, firewalls, backups, monitoring)
• Maintain and mature MSP tooling (Zoho Desk, Endpoint Central, monitoring, project tools)

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience at a Senior Level in the position of Technical Manager, Service Desk Manager (or similar)
• Experience within a Managed Services (MSP) environment
• Proven experience leading and developing small-sized technical teams
• Strong hands‑on capability with Microsoft 365 and core infrastructure
• Solid networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls – FortiGate ideal)
• Experience managing service desks, SLAs, and escalation workflows
• Strong project delivery experience (planning, scoping, execution)
• Process‑driven mindset with a focus on SOPs, standards, and documentation
• Calm, confident leader with excellent communication skills
• Based in Cape Town with willingness to travel to client sites

Remuneration:

💰Total Salary: ~R60 000 Per Month.
