Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The purpose of this position is to merge technical knowledge with sales skills to effectively communicate our product features and benefits to existing and potential clients, in addition to keeping up to date with industry trends. They will play a critical role to increase revenue by achieving targets through effective sales strategies and managing client relationships. As well as expanding client base through effective management and new business development. Supplying exceptional customer service.

KEY TASKS

SALES

1. Present and sell company products to existing and potential clients.

2. Identify and contact new clients.

3. Achieving budget and targets.

4. Identify and resolve client concerns and provide exceptional customer service.

5. Increase market share and basket share.

6. Provide quotations of existing and new products when required.

7. Present new products to clients.

8. Attend weekly sales meeting to provide update and align with the sales team.

9. Feedback on opposition activity if possible.

10. Record customer feedback and sales Fieldsense.

11. Weekly call planning to be logged on Fieldsense as well as presented at the weekly sales meeting.

STOCK

1. Check internal inventory to ensure product ordered are in stock.

2. Collaborate with the admin team on stock pricing for quoting.

3. If products are not available in the branch, check other branches for stock.

4. Follow up with the internal buyer to ensure timely delivery of products.

5. Assist with monthly stock take for region.

6. Monitor customers stock levels, ordering frequency, types of products ordered by using CRM.

ADMIN

1. Receiving orders via telephone or email.

2. Resolving customer queries.

3. Preparing, issuing and following up of quotes.

4. Load orders and ensure process for placing orders is followed (storeroom, despatch, logistics).

5. Liaising with Finance team to ensure all client accounts are up to date and following up with client.

6. Client communication – update clients of any price increases, and any other relevant information.

7. Prepare weekly/month report and submit to manager every Friday.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

1. Meet monthly budget and sales forecast as agree scheduled in the TSC’s Tiered Incentive Bonus Plan.

2. Increase product lines within customer base and increase basket share.

3. Expand the client base through cold calling and other initiatives.

4. Pursue continuous development through training and personal growth.

5. Achieve a high enquiry to order conversion rate.

6. Provide daily reporting via the Field app (e.g. fieldsense).

Skills & Qualifications

3 years Sales experience or proven work experience as a TSC, preferably in the industry.

Proficiency in utilising Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Customer service skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R18 000,00 - R24 000,00 per month
