Job description
Northern Cape Province – South Africa: The incumbent is responsible to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company`s services to new business accounts, and by growing existing business through value added selling of the company’s total package of services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in the food testing industry.
- Sound knowledge of food safety programs and systems, including HACCP, environmental monitoring, finished product sampling, food microbiology, food chemistry, and research methodologies.
- Working knowledge of current food microbiology and chemistry testing methods and industry standards.
- Proven experience in technical sales and client relationship management, with the ability to identify business development opportunities.
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations and quality assurance principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications for reporting, data analysis, and client communication.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and laboratory management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with a customer- focused approach.
- Must be fast paced, results and sales driven.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong team player with ability to build and foster relationships.
