Established engineering and industrial solutions company is looking for a commercially driven Technical Sales Representative to take ownership of business development within the Mpumalanga mining and industrial sector.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being on site with clients, identifying technical challenges, developing practical solutions and building long-term customer partnerships. If you're equally comfortable discussing engineering solutions with technical teams and negotiating commercial agreements with decision-makers, we'd like to hear from you.

Duties & Responsibilities

You'll take ownership of your region by:

• Developing new business opportunities within mining and heavy industry.
• Growing existing customer relationships and increasing account value.
• Identifying project opportunities and following them through from enquiry to successful delivery.
• Preparing technical quotations and assisting with tenders.
• Working closely with engineering, operations and project teams to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
• Providing technical product guidance and support to customers.
• Representing the business at industry events, exhibitions and customer functions.
• Maintaining accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
• Identifying opportunities for new products, services and market expansion.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric
• Relevant Sales, Business or Technical qualification.
• Technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales within mining, industrial or engineering environments.
• Exposure to control & instrumentation, industrial installations or project-based environments.
• Experience developing new business and managing key accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and close opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.
