Technical Support Specialist

We're looking for a hands-on technical all-rounder to take ownership of CCTV, networks and monitoring hardware across our branches in the Western Cape.

You'll install and configure IP cameras and recorders, manage static IP addressing, plan and execute network upgrades, build Raspberry Pi based monitoring devices for site and equipment conditions, and support our serial-connected weighbridge and scale equipment. It's a practical job — you'll be in the yard, up a ladder, in the roof and in the switch cabinet, not behind a desk.

We want someone who uses AI tools daily as real working tools to build internal tooling, automate reporting and troubleshoot faster. Just as important, we want someone who innovates: who sees a manual or badly-solved problem, thinks "there's a better way," and can go and build it.

You'll need: experience and computer literacy; hands-on experience using Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT; solid IP CCTV and DVR/NVR knowledge; and real networking competence — subnets, PoE, VLANs and proper fault-finding.

Non-negotiable: valid driver's licence, clean criminal record and sober habits.
