Job description

CARtime SA is looking for a highly experienced Qualified Mechanic / Technical Working Foreman to oversee the technical operations across our Rivonia, Randburg and Edenvale workshops.

This is a hands-on working foreman position, responsible for overseeing mechanics, providing technical support and maintaining high workshop standards across all three branches.

Requirements

Red Seal Qualified Motor Mechanic – essential
Minimum 15 years' post-qualification experience
Strong experience with petrol and diesel passenger vehicles
Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
Previous Foreman, Senior Mechanic or Technical Supervisor experience advantageous
Aftermarket workshop experience advantageous
Valid South African driver's licence
Able to travel between Rivonia, Randburg and Edenvale
Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, honest and proactive
Good traceable references
Sober habits

Key Responsibilities

Oversee mechanics across all three branches
Provide technical guidance and support
Diagnose and repair vehicles
Assist with difficult technical faults
Ensure quality workmanship and industry standards
Mentor and support mechanics
Monitor workshop technical performance
Remain hands-on and work on vehicles when required

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 17:30
Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00

Pay: R25 000,00 per month

Work Location: In person
