Technician

Benncorp WC is a security and rapid response company seeking a motivated and skilled Security Systems Technician to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of a variety of electronic security systems, with a primary focus on alarm systems, as well as CCTV equipment and other related security technologies.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoys solving technical problems, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, configure, and commission alarm systems.

· Install and maintain CCTV systems and related equipment.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on security systems.

· Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and service call-outs.

· Conduct routine inspections and testing of installed systems.

· Provide clients with basic training on the operation of installed equipment.

· Complete all required job cards and technical documentation accurately.

· Ensure installations are completed in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

· Proven experience installing and servicing electronic security systems.

· Experience with alarm systems is essential.

· Experience with CCTV installation and configuration.

· Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.

· Good understanding of electronic security equipment and networking basics.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

· Valid South African driver's licence.

· Own reliable transport is advantageous.

· PSIRA registration (minimum Grade C preferred).

Experience:

· Electronic Security Systems Installation: Minimum 1 year (Required)

· Alarm Systems: Minimum 1 year (Preferred)

· CCTV Installation: Minimum 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

English (Required)

Employment Details:

Job Type: Full-time

Remuneration: Market-related and dependent on qualifications, transport and experience.

Pay: R8 000,00 - R12 000,00 per month

• PSIRA Grade C (Preferred)
