Job Purpose

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The role includes preventative maintenance, fault finding, compliance with safety regulations, and supporting operational requirements across facilities.

What you will be doing:

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on low-voltage installations.
• Maintain lighting systems, distribution boards, generators and control panels.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency work orders to restore services promptly.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and company safety
• procedures.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Identify and report potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation.

What you will:

• National Senior Certificate
• Valid driver's license.
• Preferable post graduate studies in Electrical/Mechanical
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Experience with electrical reticulation and building services.
• Experience within commercial, industrial, or facilities management environments.
