Job description
A well-known company within the agricultural industry based in the Tzaneen, is seeking the services of a well experienced Millwright. You will be responsible to ensure the smooth operation of all electrical and mechanical aspects of the company, as well as for the mechanical maintenance services; maintains, inspects and repairing equipment to ensure on-going operation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience within this industry.
Technical:
Installations (National and International)
General inspection and reporting
Service of equipment
Preventative maintenance of equipment
Planning of parts for preventative maintenance
Call outs for break downs
Work planning
Job sheets and reporting
Telephonic standby / call outs (24 hour per day)
Client interaction and planning for availability
Inventory management and safe storing thereof
Taking responsibility for parts being supplied to clients
Work ethic / safety
Tools and company vehicle
Scouting at potential clients
Communicate with farmers and packhouse managers
Meetings / Measurements:
Increase in expertise regarding problem solving
Thorough and accurate finalizing of installations (CE regulations)
Come backs received
General availability of the machines during season
General neatness, appearance and behaviour
Speeding fines and general maintenace of the vehicle (per kilometre costs)
Feedback from clients
Stock controls
Submitting complete and accurate job sheets once work is finalized
Effective usage of time and work within due dates
Continuous adherence to safety standards
Correct tools in a good condition for usage
Education & Experience
Grade 12
Technical Diploma / Degree – Mechatronics / Qualified Millwright
Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ previous experience from the agricultural / fruit / FMCG industry
Basic salary on offer with benefits.

Very strong maintenance skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work effectively on own as well as part of a team
Deadline driven / urgency training
Ability to work under pressurised situations with in the training
Log book and job card booking
Able to do maintenance tasks including reassembly and assembly of equipment
