We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Technical Field Technician, you will work across both our renewable energy and telecommunications divisions.

The successful candidate will assist with installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and general technical work at customer sites and company projects.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with technology, electrical and telecommunications equipment, solving problems, and working in different environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of renewable energy systems.
• Assist with solar PV, inverter, battery, and related energy system installations.
• Assist with telecommunications installations and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain telecommunications equipment.
• Assist with network, fibre, wireless, and connectivity-related projects where required.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults and equipment issues.
• Perform site inspections and identify potential technical problems.
• Use tools and test equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow installation specifications, technical drawings, and company procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
• Provide professional assistance and support to customers on site.
• Complete job cards, installation reports, photographs, and other required documentation.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
• Follow all health and safety requirements and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.
• Travel to customer and project sites when required.

Requirements

• Previous technical, electrical, telecommunications, solar, or field-service experience will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and/or telecommunications is beneficial.
• A technical qualification or relevant trade experience will be advantageous.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and technical equipment.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors when required.
• Physically capable of performing hands-on field work.
• Valid driver's licence is advantageous/required.
• Willingness to travel to different customer and project sites.
• Ability to work overtime or after-hours when project requirements demand it.
• Must be willing to travel for work as we operate across the entire counrty

Pay: R7 440,06 - R18 705,64 per month
