Job description
Project Progpo Consultancy is looking for a skilled and reliable WiFi Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot WiFi and network systems for clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that clients have stable, secure, and reliable internet connectivity while providing professional technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure WiFi routers, access points, and network equipment.
- Set up and maintain wireless networks for residential and business clients.
- Troubleshoot slow, unstable, or disconnected WiFi connections.
- Identify and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Conduct site assessments to determine suitable equipment and WiFi coverage.
- Configure network devices and ensure they are properly secured.
- Test network performance and signal strength.
- Replace or repair faulty networking equipment where required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Ensure all installations are completed safely and professionally.
- Keep up to date with current networking technologies and equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a WiFi Technician, Network Technician, IT Technician, or similar role.
- Knowledge of WiFi networks, routers, access points, and basic networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and network issues.
- Understanding of IP addresses, LAN/WAN, DHCP, and basic network configuration.
- Good technical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to client sites.
- A valid driver's licence will be an advantage.
- Relevant IT or networking certification will be an advantage.
