Location: Sasolburg, Free state

Purpose of Job: To assist Electrical Engineers in such activities as process control, electrical power distribution, or instrumentation design.

To participate in the preparation of layouts of electrical transmission or distribution systems to build strong infrastructure.

Working Experience

• Experience in and fault finding, maintenance and repairs on the following equipment and systems will be an advantage: (Wish)
• 5+ years relevant experience
• WEG Medium voltage MVW 01 VSD drive application
• WEG Low voltage CFW 09 & CFW 11 VSD drives & SSW 06 Soft starters applications
• Siemens PLC S7 300, 400 and 1500 system applications – Reading, writing and understanding of PLC logics
• Toshiba Prosec T1 (MDR 40S) PLC systems application– Reading, writing and understanding of PLC logics
• ABB Protection relays (REF 615, REF630, REM 615, SPAM 150C, SPAJ 140C, SPAU 130C) – Reading, writing and modification of logics and protection settings
• Siemens Simocode Pro V applications
• HVAC systems (Hi-Reff, Bunham bush, Mitsubishi)
• UPS systems(EATON, ABB, CHLORIDE, MEISNER)
• BTU systems(STATIC POWER, EATON, ABB)
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical reticulation systems
• Knowledge and understanding of MV and LV motors and transformers
• Initiate, facilitate and provide support for RCA’s on equipment failures and trips.
• Leading and conducting PDA’s for maintenance and projects
• Provide technical assistance and training to Electrical Artisans
• Management of change (MOC)
• SAP experience
• Knowledge and experience on maintenance and installation of classified equipment in Hazardous/classified areas will be advantageous (Minimum 5 years).
• Knowledge and Understanding of OSH Act
• Acting on behalf of area manager
