Telesales Agent

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and target-driven Telesales Agent to join our growing sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contacting prospective customers, promoting our products and services, generating sales, and building lasting customer relationships. This role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products or services.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Handle customer objections professionally and confidently.
• Accurately capture customer information and update the CRM system.
• Follow up on leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to improve sales performance.
• Attend coaching sessions, product training, and team meetings.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum of 1 year of telesales, call centre sales, or outbound sales experience.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Computer literate with experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment.
• Professional telephone etiquette.

Advantageous

• Experience selling insurance, financial services, telecommunications, or healthcare products.
• RE5 qualification (if applicable to the industry).
• Multilingual abilities.
