In this role, you will:

- Engage customers and prospects through sales calls, demos, product trials, proposals, and follow-ups.
- Build strong connections with industry leaders and influencers, and key stakeholders.
- Develop deep knowledge of our products and services while staying current on market trends.
- Prepare sales activity reports and contribute to business planning.
- Lead and support in-market sales agents and channel partners.
- Travel within the assigned territory as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.
You are a great fit if you:
- Bring 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Have experience managing a multi-country sales territory and driving the full sales cycle, from prospecting and closing to account growth.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English – which are required; proficiency in additional African languages is an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen, attention to detail, and outstanding negotiation and closing skills.
- Excel at building trusted relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Thrive working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Can develop and execute strategic territory and business plans, using sales data and market insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Think critically, solve problems proactively, and adapt quickly.
- Are tech savvy and are comfortable learning and adopting new tools and technologies.
- Are willing to travel within your territory and internationally, as required.
- Experience with client referral and advocacy program is a bonus.
Bonus points if you have:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- A strong interest in digital publishing and news media.
- Experience selling SaaS, digital media, or subscription-based solutions.
- Experience working with libraries, particularly multi-site library systems or organizations, education, or corporate organizations is an asset; familiarity with the African library market(s) is a plus.
