Thule is a premium brand known for high-quality outdoor and travel gear, including roof racks, bike carriers, luggage, and backpacks. Our V&A Waterfront store is dedicated to helping customers live an active life with smart, stylish, and durable products.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead our V&A Waterfront team. You’ll own day-to-day store operations, including cash and stock control, hit sales targets, and build a team that delivers an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Store Operations

· Lead, roster, and manage the sales team, ensuring the store opens and closes on schedule

· Recruit, train, and develop staff, monitoring performance and addressing gaps

· Enforce store procedures and standards as set out in the company retail manual

Financial & Stock Control

· Oversee daily cash-ups, banking, and reconciliations

· Manage stock control end-to-end: goods receiving, supplier returns, stock counts and stock takes, and manual invoicing during any system downtime

· Process product warranty and repair claims

· Approve discounts within company policy, escalating larger requests as required

Customer Experience & Compliance

· Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints

· Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and store security standards

· Maintain merchandising and in-store display standards in line with brand guidelines

Sales & Reporting

· Drive sales targets and KPI performance

· Prepare and submit cash-up, stock, and sales reporting to head office

· Build and maintain strong product knowledge across the team

Requirements

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a retail management or supervisory role (required)

· Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

· Must be available to work weekends and public holidays

· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team

· Strong understanding of retail KPIs, stock management, and merchandising

· Strong numerical skills, comfortable with cash handling, banking, and stock-take/compliance processes

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

· Confident with POS and stock management systems (training provided), plus general computer literacy (email, inventory tools)

· Physically able to assist with product handling and installations when required

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person — V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

Pay: R25 000,00 per month
