Job description
The Role
We are looking for an Onsite Support Technician to provide hands-on IT support at our client's site in Port Elizabeth.
What you'll be doing
- Provide first-line and onsite technical support to business users
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software incidents
- Support Windows desktop environments
- Assist with hardware/software installations and upgrades
- Support network points, wireless access points and desktop systems
- Manage incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
- Escalate complex issues and follow up to ensure resolution
- Keep users updated on outstanding incidents
- Document troubleshooting and resolutions
- Assist with ICT projects and onsite operations
- Monitor hardware and infrastructure alerts
Skills and Experience
What you need
- Matric with Maths or N3 including Maths
- IT Certificate or Diploma
- Microsoft Windows Desktop Support experience
- Minimum 2 years prior working experience
- Minimum 1 year Desktop Support experience
- Experience supporting Windows-based thin and fat clients in a domain environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Good English and Afrikaans communication skills
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Ability to work onsite and participate in standby when required
Advantageous: Active Directory, ITIL, MCSE/MCP or CCNA.
Other Location: Port Elizabeth
Contract: 12 months
Salary: R18,000 per month + R 500 standby
Work arrangement: Fully onsite
Own vehicle and driver's licence required
