Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent National Qualification Framework (NQF) level qualification. Honesty and reliability are critical, with a strong ethical approach to minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process transactions at till points, verifying scanned prices against ticketed prices, handling payments accurately, and ensuring compliance with till policies and procedures.
  • Promote Woolworths loyalty programs and available services such as utility bill payments and airtime top-ups to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and awareness of store promotions and special events to assist customers effectively and support sales initiatives.
  • Ensure till areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to hygiene, safety, and corporate presentation standards.
  • Minimize shrinkage by adhering to store security policies, reporting incidents of dishonesty or fraud promptly, and following ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, compliance with dress code, and personal discipline to uphold professional store standards and team cohesion.
  • Remain calm and efficient under pressure, managing stress effectively during busy periods while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with customers and team members to resolve issues quickly and support a collaborative working environment.
  • Support shift flexibility requirements to meet store operational needs and contribute positively to the overall team performance.
